His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Faisal al-Saud is President of the Arab Thought Foundation and Governor of the Asir province of Saudi Arabia. In a 2004 interview, he said, "I believe that the Arab nation today must listen to the Arab thinkers, intellectuals and academicians, since if we look at the Western countries and Western societies we will see that all the governmental strategies are based on [ideas] that originated with intellectuals and thinkers in think tanks, in universities, in cultural foundations, or even in the media."
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum is the Crown Prince of Dubai and UAE Defense Minister. Sheikh Mohammed is widely credited with the conception and development of many of Dubai's modern building marvels. Among these are the three Palm Islands, the World Archipelago, and world renowned hotels such as the Burj al Arab, Emirates Towers and the Burj Dubai. When completed in 2008, the Burj Dubai stands a good chance of being the tallest building in the world at approximately 800 meters.

His Royal Highness Prince Bandar bin Khalid al-Faisal al-Saud is a trustee of the Arab Thought Foundation. Prince Bandar guides the entity's outreach for better understanding between Arabs and the western world. Prince Bandar is also Chairman and President of Investment Enterprises, Riyadh, a holding company with subsidiaries in high-tech, financial services, publishing and real estate. He is Co-founder and Board Member of Al Watan, the newest Saudi newspaper, and a founding member of Arabian Printing and Publishing House, a Saudi-based publisher of newspapers and magazines.
Mona al-Marri is Chairperson of the Dubai Press Club. She has held a variety of leadership roles in Dubai, and is respected as a role model for contributions that women of the United Arab Emirates are making today. Mona is the Co-host of the Women in Media reception. Under Ms. al-Marri's direction, the Dubai Press Club has hosted several media summits and founded the Arab Journalism Awards.

Della van Heyst is Founder and Chairman of The Van Heyst Group (VHG), as well as chief ambassador and idea incubator. VHG is responsible for designing, developing and producing this conference. Over the past decade, VHG has produced dozens of gatherings of leaders in global business, government and civil society. Clients include TIME magazine, FORTUNE magazine, Cisco, Microsoft, HP and many others. Mrs. van Heyst is widely respected as a leader in global thought exchange.

The Arab Thought Foundation (ATF) is an international, independent, non-profit and non-governmental organization. Formed in January 2001, the Arab Thought Foundation is an initiative between intellectuals and businessmen to promote and preserve the Arab identity. Among other important goals, the Foundation aims to "initiate cultural and media programs which contribute to a better understanding of the Arab civilization on an international scope."
The Foundation is run by Secretary General, Ambassador Aly Maher, and by the Executive Director, Dr. Ali Moussa.
The Dubai Press Club (DPC) aims to foster interaction among journalists and media professionals from around the world; to promote exchange of ideas among newsmakers, journalists, editors and other communicators; and the pursuit of journalistic excellence.
The Van Heyst Group (VHG) endeavors to create, encourage, and sustain an
intellectually stimulating environment where senior executives and global leaders can grow relationships, exchange ideas, and gain valuable insight into conducting business and achieving their objectives in a changing geopolitical and technological world.
